We want to thank everyone for another year of unwavering support - we could not do this without you. Our mission is to stop suicide, work with mental health advocates and provide support to those who have lost loved ones to suicide. In 2018, we worked with various organizations who helped us make a difference.

Sunshine at the Park

This year we also hosted our 3rd annual Sunshine at the Park fundraiser where we raised over $40,000 for suicide awareness and prevention programs. We are so thankful for everyone who attended as well as our incredible sponsors, without whom it would not have been possible! The 2018 event featured a rock climbing wall, Zumba classes from the YMCA, a karate demonstration by Goju Karate, Hip Hop Kidz performances, face painting, food trucks, a silent auction and more.

Americas VetDogs

Americas VetDogs trains and places service dogs with Veterans with physical disabilities, to help mitigate the effects of PTSD, hearing dogs for those who have lost their hearing, and facility dogs as part of the rehabilitation process in military and VA hospitals. We've sponsored the training for one of these incredible dogs and named him Sunny. Sunny, completed his first level of training at the end of 2018 and will be paired with a Veteran in the new year.

HOPE Sunshine Clubs

We continue to work side by side with FISP on the Hope Sunshine Club program. This year, the program was expanded to cover new and relevant topics that contribute to their mental health.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

We participated in the Out of the Darkness suicide prevention walk at Nova Southeastern University, where our team raised and contributed over $5,000.

Markham Park Butterfly Garden

We continued to work with Markham Park to maintain and beautify their butterfly garden where Dylan spent a lot of time and we have dedicated a bench for him. Thank you to everyone who continuously shows up to garden in the warm Florida sun!

We appreciate your continued love and support, and thank you for helping us #SpreadtheSunshine.

Sincerely,

The Schopp Family
